We played outside today.
Willow Room- T/TH
We read "Ten Tiny Tadpoles" by Debbie Tarbett
We worked on our Mother's Day gift. We had watercolors at the easel.
The children enjoyed the play dough and building on the rug with the bristle blocks and large lego blocks.
We also practiced singing our Mother's Day songs.
We looked at our caterpillars and saw how they are beginning to change.
Oak Room:
We read "A house for Hermit Crab" by Eric Carle
We created a sea mural. We brushed light blue watercolors over a large sheet of paper. Then we used sea creature shaped stampers dipped in paint to add sea animals to our underwater picture.
We had the light table in the room with colorful translucent objects to observe.
We had the small legos out to build cars, houses, creatures.
We had out the small snap together number blocks.
We also took the children in to the room next door today in small groups and played a math addition game. The children did a great job adding the numbers.
We sang a 5 little fish rhyme and we did the freeze dance while wearing jingle belts.
