Trinity Preschool Activities for Wednesday, September 17, 2014

I will post some pictures in a separate link for these activities.

Maple Room: MWF class

We read "The apple pie Tree" by Zoe Hall

We made mini apple pies and ate them for snack today.

We had tree shapes at the easel and used corks to make "apples" for the trees.

We did The September song, If you're happy and you know it,  and The pet store by my house for music today.

We also read "Tap the Magic Tree" book

We set up a "free art table" for the children today.

Willow Room: MWF class

We read "Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb" by Al Perkins

We asked the children today, "What can you do with your hands?"

We did "Clap, clap your hands (and we used drums) and we did "I like my hat" for music today.

WE did a 5 fingers finger play today.

We fingerpainted with blue paint

We had magnetic gears on the easel today.

Oak Room- Pre-k class

We read "when I am feeling happy" and "When I am feeling sad" by Trace Moroney

We did a picture graph about "how are you feeling today?"

We also read the Letter B book.

We are talking about all about me and today was about emotions.

We worked in our journals today with the letter B.  They practiced writing the letter and drawing pictures that start with the letter B.

We did happy /sad with face cards we have.  The children each hold a face card with a happy face on one side and a sad face on the other side.  Then they use them to show how they would feel if....

We sang "If you are happy and you know it"

We did a science experiment today: We put one hard boiled egg in cola and one in milk/.  We are observing to see what will happen.

Stay & Play:

We read "Dinosaur Pet" by Marc Sedaka

We did sponge tube painting on big sheets of paper.

We did "Moving every day"  and we moved around the room with scarves.
We did "Body Bingo" some movement challenges.

We build a town with blocks and legos.
