Trinity preschool activities for the maple room, Monday, September 8, 2014

We read the book "the kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn. The 2nd picture is a literacy activity we did today.  Before the story, looking just at the cover, we asked the children what they thought the story was about and wrote them in black on the fingers.  Then, after reading the story, we asked the question again and wrote the words in red outside the fingers.

We had tempra paint at the easel today.

We did the September song, and hands are for clapping for music.

We played on the playground today.

We also read "a fish out of water " today.

We talked about class rules again today and reminded the child how to take good care of our toys.

We finger painted with red and blue paint today, which turned into purple handprints!  We added the heart like in our story for a special keepsake.
Finger painting is fun!

We introduced the rainbow fish game on Monday and had it at the table for the children today.  The children roll the dice and add that number of scales to decorate the fish.
