Trinity Preschool Activities for Tuesday, May 17, 2011

We played outside today.

Willow Room: T/Th Class

We read "The Best Nest" by P.D. Eastman

We painted with paint brushes taped to popsicle sticks and the paint was in the popsicle holder. It was a fun, new way to present paint.

We had magnetic gears at the easel.

We used musical instruments today. We used them with "The tempo marches on", "The sound effects song", and "Let's dance now".

Oak Room:

We read "The carrot seed" by Ruth Krauss

We used the tops of carrots dipped in paint to paint with today. It gives a swishy, look and provides a different challenge to painting.

We sang Animal Actions, part 1 and 2; Put your finger in the air, There was an old lady who swallowed a fly.

We acted out "the big carrot story" The story is about a farmer who can't pull the carrot out of the ground and keeps bringing on other people and animals to help pull it out of the ground.
