Thursday- Willow Room-
We read "Planting a rainbow" by Lois Elhert
WE made beautiful flower pictures using the bottom of an empty pop bottle. when pressed into a sponge filled with paint, it makes a cool flower design.
We sang "Tap your toe and follow me, Tommy Thumb, Everybody has a face.
We played in the gym today, too wet and rainy outside.
We let our beautiful Luna moth go today.
Oak Room:
We read Daisy Head Mayzie by Dr. Suess
We did a picture about planting a garden! We used a puffy paint mixture (flour and salt mixed into paint) added to brown paint to look like dirt. The children used cool scrapers and combs to make it look like rows in the dirt. and we added crumpled up colorful tissue paper to look like the flowers.
We worked on 4 letter word puzzles, and number 7-10 puzzles today.
We did a song, moving everyday using ribbons, and we did stomp, stomp, clap.
We played a small group game- beginning letter sounds.
