"I spy with my little eye" by Edward Gibbs is the book we read today. We painted on paper with a hole cut in the middle of it. The children had to decided how to deal with a hole in their paper.
We did fingerpainting at the easel with red, yellow and blue paint.Tullet
We did the October song, and Scat the Cat for music time.
We also read the book "Press Here" by Herve
Willow Room- MWF class
We read "Apple Farmer Annie" by Monica Wellington, a book about apples.
We talked about what we can make out of apples.
We cut open 3 apples, big, medium and small, and counted how many seeds were in each apple. The middle size apple had the most seeds.
We glued paper seeds onto an apple shape for art today.
We had paint at the easel with paint brushes today.
We also read the book "Tap the magic tree" by Christie Matheson
We made apple sauce today and will use it to make apple turnovers next week. The children helped cut the apples into small pieces with plastic knives.
We did Wheels on the bus, driving here, driving there, ad Sammy for music today.
We looked at some potatoes and carrots that came straight from a farm and how dirty they are, and also looked at ones from the store.
Oak Room- Pre- K class
We read "Autumn's First Leaf" by Steve Metzger and also "There was an old lady who swallowed some leaves" by Lucille Colandro
We used an eye dropper to drip watercolors onto a paper towel. We will cut them into leaf shapes to hang around the room.
We did our letter F mystery bag today of things that start with the letter F.
We did crayon rubbings with real leaves at the easel.
We did "sticky bubble gum" and "Brown Bear" for music today.
