Trinity Preschool Activities for Thursday, September 28, 2012

We played outside on the playground again today.

Willow Room- Tue/Thur (Terrific 2's and 3's class)

We did a CD story called "Yes, we can" by Sam McBratney
We asked "What can you do all by yourself?"

We used textured foam rollers which we rolled in tempra paint and then rolled them back and forth over our paper.

We had colored sticks that we sorted, counted, and created pictures with on the magnetic boards.

We sang "Can't sit still", "The sneezing song" and "What could you do with a bean bag?"

We talked about germs and how they spread.  We talked about coughing and sneezing into our elbows or sleeves to keep germs from spreading.  We used glitter to demonstrate how fast germs spread.

Maple Room- Thursday Math and Language enrichment class

We read "The cat in the hat" and "The cat in the hat comes back" by Dr. Seuss

We did a math matchups game today and a rhyming activity.

We did sticky bubble gum for music time.

Oak Room: Pre- K class

We read "Little Blue & Little Yellow" by Leo Leonni  It is a story about two friends, one blue and one yellow who hug and turn green.

We cut a circle shape and painted with blue and yellow to demonstrate the story.

We did a shapes board game, a button sorting game, and had out a magnetic ABC puzzle.

We did a "color bird rhyme" and name other things that color.  We did "ring around the rosie" with different moves at the end of the rhyme.

We had binoculars and color wands at the science table to explore.
