We had a beautiful fall day to play on our great playground.  We have to enjoy these days while we can!

Willow Room: MWF class

We read "We're differnt & we're the same" by Bobbi Jane Kates
Our question today was "Are you a boy or a girl?"
We are talking about ourselves and learning about ourselves.

We decorated a paper shaped to look like a person.  We used a variety of materials to make it look like us.
We had dab a dot painters at the easel.

We sang "Sticky Bubble gum, everybody has a face and if your happy and you know it for music today.

We brought a water table in the room and played with water toys in it.

Maple Room- Morning class

We are talking about apples in our classroom.  Today we had a story about "a little red house".  (It turns out it is an apple)
We also read "Fish out of water"

We made apple prints with red, green and yellow paint.  We sliced an apple in half and made print by dipping the apple into the paint.

We had apple shape stampers with green and yellow paint at the easel.

We did the September song, sang "This is the way we do ti" and did a rhyme "Mr. Apple Worm" for music time today.

Maple Room- afternoon class

We read "Clifford's Puppy Days" by Norman Bridwell

We painted with potato mashers dipped in paint at the table and we used rollers and paint at the easels.

We did "Herman the worm", "Today is Monday", and we did a book on CD for music called " Monkeys washing the car"

Oak Room;

We read "I 'm gonna like me" by Jamie Lee Curtis

We are making body shapes to look like us.  Each child will look in a mirror at themselves and draw their hair, eye color, and clothes they are wearing today.  They are hanging in the hall.

We did animal actions, hands are for classping, and bean bag boogie for music time.

We are talking and learning about the letter B this week.

Stay & Play

We read "Dixie and the school trip" by Grace Gilman

We did a fun art process today- the children shook powdered paint onto paper and used a spray bottle to spray it with water.

We did Wiggy, wiggy, wiggles using bells for music.  We also did underneath the broomstick.

We had out dry erase writing boards.
