Oak Room- (Pre- K 5 day class)
We had our first day of class in our Pre- K room- our Oak Room
We are reading the books by Laura Numeroff and today we read "If you take a mouse to school".
We also read Llama Llama Time to share" by Anna Dewdney
We painted a key shape to decorate our classroom door. We put the key shape in a box and rolled prickle balls dipped in paint back and forth across the key to paint it.
We talked about our classroom rules and learned about our classroom materials. We did a group time activity with our name tags- we took turns going up to the magnet board and put our name next to the beginning letter of our name.
We did "Rhythms on parade" and used rhythm sticks while we paraded around the classroom. We also did a "We share rhyme".
We had a great first day and this will be a wonderful year in our class.
Willow Room: Terrific 2's & 3's class

We read "Spot goes to school" by Eric Hill
We painted using brushes and water color paints.
We had magnetic shapes at the easel.
We did "little fish" and "Brown Bear, Brown bear for music time today.
We had table activities out, blocks, the dramatic corner open and the children were able to explore the room and learn about our classroom,
