Construction dramatic play in preschool

When we do our construction theme, we also do The three little pigs, and talk about how they built their houses.
Construction vest made from felt and bright yellow trim

We add a number of building materials and clear a large space so the children are able to get creative with their building.

We do a construction themed bulletin board.

We put PVC pipe, rubber tubing and connectors in our sensory table.  We add water at times too.

Construction theme dramatic play in the Maple Room and construction thene Bulletin board

The children did a large group project of painting big sheets of paper with cool rollers that had  designs and patterns on them.  Then we cut them into different size rectangles for buildings.  The children added yellow squares and rectangles to make windows.

One of the teachers made the cool construction vests out of felt and we have plastic construction hats with each child's name one it.

We add a large variety of building materials, tools, cones to our dramatic construction set.

We add a road and cars to our city.

We add PVC pipe and rubber tubes with connectors to our sensory table for our construction theme.
