Willow Room- Terrific 2's and 3's class

We read "Flashing Fire Engines" by Tony Mitton
We asked the children "Have you ever seen a fire fighter?"
We had a visit form Fire fighter Jim  today in our classroom. He showed us his uniform and all of his fire safety gear.

We decorated fire fighter hats with 911 stampers.
We had cork painting on a firehouse shaped dog at the easel.

We sang "Wheels on the fire engine", "I'm a fire fighter" and "The fire truck song" for music time.

We did a fire fighter song too and talked about what fire fighters do.

We read "Aunt Ant leaves through the Leaves" ( a play on words that sound the same) by Nancy Coffelt

We sang "Tommy Thumb", and "There's a dog in school" for music time.

Oak Room:

We read "Owl Babies" by Martin Waddell.

We asked the children if they have the letter H in their name?

We made 3D trees from cardboard tubes, strips of paper, silk leaves, tissue paper pieces and pipe cleaners.

We played a shapes board game, a size comparison math activity and some lacing.

We did "Hurry, hurry, drive the firetruck" and "Can you leap like a frog" and action song, for music time.
