Oak Room Science- Color Mix with red, yellow and blue

The children were first shown how to do this at group time, and then a teacher sat with two children at a time so they could try it out. Each child was given three colors (red, blue, and yellow)and two empty cups.

They were instructed to take two of the colors and pour a little of each into one of the empty cups (you could also let them use eye droppers). They then talked about what new color they created. They repeated the process with two different colors in the other empty cup. They emptied the cups, rinsed them out and tried a new combination of colors.
