Trinity Preschool Activities for Monday, January 5, 2014

Willow Room

We read "The dot" byPeter H Reynolds

We painted with brushes and tempra paint

We had stencils and colored pencils at the easel.

We did Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, Put your finger in the air, and Little fish for music.

We did a 5 little snowmen teasing Mr. Sun rhyme

We have a grocery store set up in our classroom dramatic corner.

Oak Room:

We read "A little bit of winter" by Chris Riddell and "Hibernation" by Tori Kasara

We painted bear shape paper plates.  We will turn them into bear faces and add them to our bulletin board.

We did :going on a bear hunt, and deep blue sea" for music today.

We are beginning ot learn about hibernation.

Maple Room:

We read "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, what do you hear?" by Bill Martin Jr.

We did string painting to make a special classroom book.

We had water colors at the easel.

We did "I can make a snowman", "chubby little snowmen", and "the freeze dance" for music.

We did letter E activities

We started the estimating jar, the children had to estimate how many pom poms were in the jar.

Stay and play:

We read "Snow Day for Mouse" by Judy Cox

We did a  roll painting activity. The children had empty tennis ball plastic containers and they painted on the outside of them and then rolled them across the paper to make a print.

We did "dear old frosty", "come and get a smiley face" and we used hand bells and danced to the freeze dance song.
