Willow Room:
We read "Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson
We fingerpainted as a group- across the whole art table. We mixed red adn blue to make purple.
We sang Hands are for clapping and little old wagon.
Our color today was purple. Bring in items for our color train in the hall.
Oak Room:
We read Bamboo and Friends- The moon by Felicia Law and we talked about the moon, shape, craters and no gravity.
We covered a circle shape with materials to look like moon craters, then we covered it with foil.
We had dress up magnetic dolls, shape sorting, and rocket ship puzzle.
We packed a pretend bag to take to the moon; each child decided one special item to bring to space with them. We did blast off, a pretend trip to the moon.
