Oak Room- Pre- K class
"Curious George Visits the Library" was our story today.
We dripped paint down an incline board to look like colorful icicles. We have so many icicles hanging on all of the buildings this winter, it was fun to make our own.
We did "Colors" an active song, children need to listen carefully and stand up or sit down as the song directs.
We also did "Sammy" a song we move to for music.
We did patterning on a magnetic board as a group activity. What one comes next.
Maple Room- Thursday class
We did "Giraffes Can't dance"
We practiced writing words today, February, hugs, love, heart, red, pink, friends) and played a recognition game: We pulled either an alphabet letter or a word out of a bag and had to say if it was a letter or a word. We sounded out the words.
Willow Room- Terrific 2's and 3's class
We read "little Mouse's Big Valentine" by Thacher Hurd
We asked the children "Have you ever been to the post office?"
We finger painted with red and white paint on bubble wrap to make pink. The bubble wrap is a fun texture to finger paint on and gives the children a unique sensory experience.
We used x and O stampers at the easel on a hart shape ( X and O stand for hugs and kisses )
We did a 5 little letters felt rhyme, a hearts rhyme and we did Little Fish- let's go swimming, can you leap like a frog, and shoo fly for music today.
