It started out a little rainy so the Willow room played inside, but tehn the sun came out so we dried it off outside and went out for the rest of the classes.
Willow Room:
We read Pick a Pumpkin, Mrs. Millie! by Judy Cox
We finger painted with red and yellow paint and we made it orange!
We made our own pumpkin muffins today!
We played pass the bean bag, and did some other bean bag games. We did the song, Apple Pie Tree.
See recipe on other BLOG listing
Maple Room:
We read "Mouse's First Fall" by Lauren Thompson
We dd leaf rubbings on black paper using oil pastels.
We sang October song, Hands are for clapping, and sticky bubblegum
We played an opposite puzzle game.
Oak Room:
We read "lights out, night's out" about animals out at night.
We dipped objects in glue (cookie cutters in star shape and corks) and then sprinkled glitter on them to look like eyes in the night.
We did some funny face matching, pumpkin face matching, and clay with wooden sticks
We did a nocturnal animal rhyme, and hokey pokey for music time.
We asked the children if their name has a "G" in it?
