We read "Pumpkin Cat" by Anne Mortimer
We asked the children if they new where pumpkins grow?
We did "Come and buy a pumpkin" at our second circle time.
We made pumpkin prints by using real mini pumpkins cut in half, dipped in paint and pressed up and down onto our paper. We used orange pant.
We did "Pumpkin in the red barn", "face the facts," and "give me a clap" for music time.
We cut open a real pumpkin at choice time and talked about what we found inside, we discussed the texture (touch) and smell.
Oak Room: Pre- K class
We did another version of The Three little pigs using a felt board and felt pieces.
We also read "Wise up silly owl" by Steve Metzger
We painted with potato mashers - (it looks like bricks on the paper).
We did "Today is Monday", "Put your finger in the air", and "I can hammer".
We are learning about nocturnal animals.
Our dramatic play area is a construction zone!
We did the mystery bag with the letter I items- we had to guess what was in the bag that starts with the letter I.
