We enjoyed a beautiful fall day outdoors on the playground today. The Willow Room- Terrific 2's and 3's class go out early, so we often have a chill in the air even though it will warm up later. Remember to send jackets so the children are comfortable outside.
You can tell we love to paint with unusual objects, and to paint with items you would not normally think of for painting....I think all of the classes have painted with potato mashers this past week or so- if you wonder why? It is a fun project!
Willow Room: T/Th class (Terrific 2's and 3's)
The children are doing really well adjusting. For many this is their first time away from mom and dad. We still have a few tears, but it is getting less each day.
We glued fun foam shapes onto paper at the table, we had brushes with paint at the easel.
We sang "The sneezing song" by Jim Gill, "Sticky Bubble Gun" by Carole Peterson and "Tommy Thumb" by Carole Peterson
We talked about germs and how to prevent spreading them to our friends, the sneezing song helped us practice this.
Oak Room: Pre- K class
We read "Me and My Friend" by Mercer Mayer
We painted with potato mashers dipped in paint.
We sang "Herman the Worm", "If your angry and you know it" , "An elephant went out to play on a tight rope one day...."
We did the mystery box of items that begin with the letter "B" inside.
