Willow Room: T/TH class
We read "Penguin's skating party" by Dana Regan
We are talking about the color yellow and asked "Do you see the color yellow? The children showed us yellow in the room.
We painted on white paper using texture mittens.
We had some vocabulary sorting pictures at the easel.
We sang the sneezing song, hands are for clapping and a bean bag song, where you follow directions to put the bean bag on various body parts.
Bring in some items to add to our color train that are red, yellow or blue- (small items that we can attach to the construction paper trains)
Oak Room-
We read "The great Monster hunt", by Norbert Landa
We made "snowball prints" today. We took a sock and added beans to the inside. Then we dipped it in white paint and dropped it into a box with paper. It looks like snowballs splats.
We sang 5 green and speckled frogs, and one bear went out to play.
We also played No one loses, everybody cheers, musical chairs. When a person doesn't have a chair anymore in the game, they become the cheering section, the children really enjoy our fun version.
