We played in the gym today.
Willow Room- T/Th class
Welcome back, we asked the children today about their vacation from school.
We read "The mitten" by Jan Brett which is a great story about how a bunch of animals join together inside a lost mitten in the woods to keep warm.
We used potato mashers to make prints on wax paper to decorate our room.
We had watercolors that we used to paint on snowflake shapes at the easel.
We sang "Ring the bells, wintertime is here, and put your finger on.
We practiced cutting today at the free art table.
Oak Room:
We read "One snowy night" by M. Christina Butler
We made bird feeders with biscuits and bird seed today. You can hang it outside on a tree or bush or place it on the ground near a window so you can watch the birds eat.
We sang the Cool bear hunt, and snowman snowman.
The children are enjoying the dress up clothes, and today they had an impromptu "dance train". The music was playing and they were dancing around the room in dress up clothes all in a long line. They had a lot of fun!. The teachers were part of the dance train too!
