Willow Room: MWF class
We did Hickory Dickory Dock nursery rhyme today.
We talked about what do we need a clock for?
We made a clocks by gluing numbers and a mouse on a clock.
We painted at the easel with green glitter paint.
We had out some of our new toys at the tables today; the color sorting game, some shape matching cards, counting keys, a nursery rhyme felt board, and some puzzles.
We sang "If you are happy and you know it" and "Bear hunt".
We went outside today, the weather was beautiful!
Maple Room-
We read "The night before St. Patrick's Day" by Natasha Wing
We used cut green peppers dipped in green paint to make a shamrock shape . We had green paper with gold and green glitter paint at the easels.
We sang some kid picks today and the March song.
We followed clues around the building to hunt for a pot of gold which held some special gold coins.
We got to play outside on the playground today again, it was great to get outside.
Oak room:
We read "Froggy rides a bike" by Jonathan London
We worked in our journals on pictures that start with the letter "X". We took the children out of the room in small groups to play one of our new math games where we worked on some simple addition. It is a great concrete way to teach this math skill.
We sang "Patty the shamrock", deep in the jungle (and we used drums with it), and list of dances.
We went outside today.
