Trinity Preschool Activities for Thursday, September 19, 2013

Today was the first day we could not go outside.  We have a great gym to use on bad weather days, we had our trikes, a rocking alligator and basketballs and hula hoops today.

Oak Room: 5 day - pre- K class

We are learning about our bodies and all about me this month.
We read "The skeleton inside you" by Philip Balestrino .  We have 206 bones inour bodies.

We glued Q-tips to look like bones on a body shape

We looked at pictures of x -rays to see what bones look like.

We asked the children "Do you have the letter B in your name?

We did a bones rhyme, "Toe, leg knee" and "those bones" for music today.

Maple Room- Thursday class

We read Llama, llama, Rd Pajama by Anna Dewdney

We also read an M&M counting book and we did the activities with M and;M's to learn math.

We did counting, sorting, adding, subtracting, and graphing with M and M's.

We did hands inside the circle for music and sticky bubble gum.

Willow Room: Thurs- Terrific 2's and 3's class

We read "My preschool" by Anne Rockwell

We painted our hands with paint brushes and made hand prints on paper.  The children enjoyed the sensory feel of painting their hands.

We had magnetic gears at the easel.

We did a guessing game and we have the water table in the room for sensory play.

We did "hands are for clapping", "Put your hands up in the air" and "I like my hat" for music today.
