Whales made in Oak room
Willow Room- T/Th classWe are doing the nursery rhymes I'm a little teapot, and Simple Simon met a pie man. We asked the children what kind of pie they like?
We did fingerpainting and we will turn it into room decorations.
We had magnetic shapes at the easel.
We did rock and roll body parts and we sang all of our nursery rhymes for music.
We made chocolate pie and drank milk out of tea cups for snack.
We are still talking about pet doctors in our dramatic corner.
Oak Room:
We are doing "Under the sea"
We read "Rainbow fish lost at sea" by Marcus Pfister and Goldies New Home by Christine Jones
We cut out a whale shape that had a hole in the middle. We then added some hair gel in a baggie and added some plastic fish to the mixture. We taped the bag on the back of the whale to look like he swallowed the fish and some water. ( see picture above)
We sang Little fish, 5 little fish and baby beluga for music.
We added a plastic play pool (with no water in it) to our dramatic play area.
