We played in the gym today with trikes, balls, basketball hoop, hula hoops, and the rocking alligator.
Willow Room:
We read "Does a cow say Boo?" by Judy Hindley and our question today was How are you feeling?
we used cardboard boxes and feeder corn dipped in paint. The children needed to roll the box back and forth to make the corn move and paint eh paper. It was quite a challenge for some of the children to just roll the boxes and not grab the corn. It makes a great print.
We sang "Hello everybody, yes indeed", Couch Potato Pokey and "I like my hat"
We used a mixture of cornstarch and water with brown color to look like mud. The children played with little piggies in the pretend mud.
Maple room:
We read "The great turkey race" by Steve Metzger
We wove some placemats for our Thanksgiving feast.
We had paint and brushes at the easel.
We sang "The November song", "Alphabet sounds", "sticky bubble gum", and "turkey in the brown straw."
We practiced writing letters A-F. We did a story prompt today about how to cook a turkey.
Oak room:
We read "Come over to my house" by Theo Lesieg
We did a building project with packing peanuts and colored glue. We had out a color matching puzzle and number pegs
We did some turkey rhymes and "The turkey hop" for music.
We finished up with the construction toys in our dramatic corner.
